14 Gauge 5/16" Aluminum butted chain mail shirt. Coif is made from 16 ga. Aluminum butted mail handmade from 14 ga. anodized aluminum rings. More than 40,000 rings were used to make this shirt and coif. Anodizing makes aluminum as corrosion resistant as stainless steel and also is harder than the ring itself. This aluminum vest is one-half the weight of a similar steel chain mail shirt. The man wearing the shirt here is 6 ft. 2" tall, 185 lbs. His chest is 39 inches. This shirt can be worn by a person with smaller measurements or larger measurements.
